Community Outreach
In conjunction with the church's three-fold vision, our outreach is designed to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ through a heart of service. The ministry is divided into two main areas of service. One is reaching out into our community with such services as feeding the needs through the Issaquah Meal Program. The second area of service is reaching out to those in the body of Christ, our church, to those who need a helping hand.
Eastridge Meals Program
Issaquah Meals program | Brown Bag Lunches program
Eastridge Church participates in the Issaquah Meals Program, a community program run by Catholic Community Services (CCS). CCS coordinates volunteers who prepare and serve hot meals at the Issaquah Community Hall (map) Monday through Friday throughout the year to people in need. The meal is free and there is no means test or questions asked. Eastridge is one of many churches and volunteer groups who participate.
Eastridge provides, prepares and serves hot meals the 2nd and 5th Fridays of each month (16 times a year) (Issaquah Meals program or Hot Meals). Teams of 2-4 volunteers either prepare the food in the Eastridge Student Center kitchen or serve it to the patrons.
Beginning Jan 2010, Eastridge also provides brownbag lunches for the patrons the 3rd Friday of each month (Brownbag Lunches program). Here are a couple useful websites:
